I’d like all the stuff to be somewhat level. They recommend a volume that’s lower than most commercially produced mp3’s. Volume – How do you regulate volume? I have used MP3 Gain with varying results.

Do I tag them all the way it appears on the album, then move them all to the same artist folder? I’m not sure if this will pop up with other bands, but it might! (Am I a hipster for that remark?) I have them on a few compilations and I have 2 of their albums. Alternate Spellings? – The first band that comes to mind is $parechange? a.k.a.“The” – So, what do you do about the word “the”? Say a band like the Misfits… Do you tag them Misfits, or The Misfits? The Ramones? The The? Name the file without the “the”, keep the “the” inside the ID3 tag? In the stuff I have currently, it’s mix & match. So my last blog post on the subject got some great input, but now I must raise some more specific questions. What songs would you put on your numbers playlist? Dig any of these? I noticed I’m missing a song that starts with 8. “7 Days (Solomon’s Boring Week)” – Snuff.

“3 Small Words” – Josie and the Pussycats ( I still say this song & movie rock.).“21 Days in Jail” – The Legendary Hucklebucks.“1 Million Light Years From Her” – Graves.I’d thought I’d share some of my favorites. I thought that “song titles that start with numbers” would be a pretty cool playlist. (Sadly, my 500 GB hard drive has stopped working and unless it’s fixed I’ll lose a TON of music, so whatever this Best Buy generic brand mp3 player holds may be it for my collection for a while!) I have no idea why I decided to take it off of “random”, but I did. The other day I plugged my crappy old Insignia Pilot into the truck stereo’s auxiliary input, & I started playing the songs on my trusty & hardly ever updated mp3 player in order by song title. What do you use to listen to Christmas music? What are your favorite songs, traditional, wild, overplayed, or obscure? Man, I miss just running WinAmp on a giant desktop. I need to get my personal stuff all digitized someday too. I heard Google Music was pretty awesome, until it just became the YouTube Music thing. I don’t feel like playing for a streaming service unless it can be complete.

I do have the free accounts for all mentioned. Spotify and Amazon are the ones that are easy to use… but I wish I could add more content. I hardly use Pandora enough to thumbs up or down to get it where every song is a smash. The YouTubes ones are all over the place. I do need to work on refining the lists I have. I have some stuff from the wild west days of mp3 downloading that I can’t seem to find on any platforms. I wish that all of these songs were available across all platforms. I like raucous punk and metal Christmas music in addition to some of the more straightforward poppy and traditional stuff. I am signed up for too many free streaming accounts.
